Learn to dance. Connect with others. Discover something about yourself.
This new Beginner Term is designed for people who want to start their bachata journey in a supportive, playful, and conscious environment.
At Nexus, dance is more than learning steps. It is a space to connect with others, with music, and with yourself.
Through bachata, we explore how movement can reveal the way we communicate, trust, lead, follow, and relate to others.
Whether you come out of curiosity, a love for music, or a desire to meet new people, this term offers a welcoming space to learn, explore, and enjoy the dance together.
What You Will Learn
This term is fully accessible for beginners.
No prior dance experience is needed.
Throughout the weeks, we will explore:
• The foundations of bachata rhythm and movement
• Leading and following techniques
• Musicality and flow
• Partner connection
• Body awareness and presence in the dance
You will gradually develop the skills to feel comfortable dancing with others while building confidence on the dance floor.
The Nexus Approach
Nexus is a dance school created to connect people through movement.
The classes are guided by Juliette, dancer and psychotherapist, who integrates elements of awareness and relational exploration into the learning process.
Dance often mirrors the way we relate to others.
Within the roles of leader and follower, we can observe and play with:
• Trust and communication
• Listening and responsiveness
• Confidence and self-expression
• Letting go of control
• Playfulness and presence
This approach brings a deeper dimension to the class while keeping the atmosphere light, joyful, and welcoming.
Who Is This For?

• Have never danced bachata before
• Want to start dancing in a supportive environment
• Enjoy meeting new people
• Are curious about exploring connection through dance
• Want a fun and meaningful weekly activity
